A 1920s Metz & Co occasional table by Willem Penaat, stamped underneath both tabletops WP, and it even still has the original Metz & Co pricetag/label. Extremely rare to find.
Documented in 'Metz & Co, the creative years' by P. Timmer (p.68).
Willem Penaat (1875 -1957), Dutch interior designer and furniture designer. From 1923 - 1950, Penaat worked as an interior designer for Metz & Co. He is well known for the clear lines and construction in his designs.
The table is in excellent, professionally restored condition and perfectly stable.
