Product Details

This elegant occasional table is examplary of Dutch Art Deco design from the 1920s, specifically reflecting the refined modernism, architectural clarity and restrained use of ornament.

The round tabletop features a striking geometric veneer pattern composed of oak and macassar ebony (coromandel) - a subtle yet sophisticated decorative touch typical of Dutch interwar craftsmanship.
Beneath the top, the table stands on four tapered, trapezoidal legs with a distinctly architectural silhouette. Their slightly flared stance gives the table a grounded presence, while the edges soften into gentle curves at the base - an interplay of geometry. The legs are connected by an elegant X-shaped stretcher, adding both structural solidity and a refined graphic quality visible from every angle.
The piece is in very good condition, sturdy and stable, with a warm patina that highlights the richness of the oak grain. The craftsmanship and proportions reflect the discreet luxury and thoughtful design approach of Dutch modernism.
Versatile in scale, the table works beautifully as an accent table, coffee table, or cocktail table. The original glass top is available and may be added optionally for protection and display (within the listprice)
