Product Details
A stylish and very architectural Dutch Art Deco side table from the 1920s, executed in solid mahogany.
The design is strongly modernist, with a square top, clean planes and a wonderfully asymmetrical base. The lower shelves are placed at different heights and directions, giving the table an architectural rhythm. It is playful and strict at the same time with the modenist lines.
The top has a border with mitred corners, framing the central field of mahogany. The construction below is formed by vertical panels and projecting shelves, creating beautiful shadow lines and different views from every angle. It is exactly this asymmetry that makes the table so charming - full of movement in design.
Very suitable as accent piece in a modernist, Art Deco or eclectic interior. It would work beautifully next to an armchair, as a small library table.
The table has a warm, deep reddish-brown colour. It is sturdy and stable, with small block feet and a refined compact silhouette.
