Product Details
A dark-stained oak occasional table or plant pedestal dating to around 1925, reflecting the Amsterdam School language that swept Dutch interiors in the 1920s.
The table has nice features - the decorations that run down the four table legs, the ball shaped feet and, the faceted lower tabletop and the small block capitals at the top and bottom of each leg emphasize the verticals and the handcrafted character.
Produced by N.E.M.I. —the Steenwijk-based firm known to have collaborated with sculpto r Hildo Krop - this piece is in very good, lightly restored condition. Modest in scale, it works equally well as a side table, plant stand, or display pedestal.
